New UK Board Trustees

Please welcome Olivia, Maxine and Abigael to the UK Board of Trustees.

Maxine Campbell

Maxine is a Senior Fundraiser, currently at Marie Curie. She has a degree in Scots Law but has spent most of her career working in the Third Sector particularly within Fundraising across Scotland. She spent time volunteering in Nigeria, creating inclusive neighbourhood spaces within the village of Kwali, this led to her increased passion on children's rights, focusing on education and access to quality health care. She felt with her voluntary experience and knowledge in fundraising, being a part of the Board of Tushinde was a perfect fit and we agree! Welcome Maxine!

Oliva Cayley

Oliva works as Head of the Rail Programme at Samaritans, but has worked on various projects across the UK and Africa, in the main supporting teenagers from disadvantaged and marginalised communities. Olivia is an experienced programme manager, with expertise in scoping, delivering and evaluating programmes within the fields of education, mental health, social mobility, and gender empowerment. Oliva first visited Africa at 17 and has continued to love exploring it's diverse and vibrant cultures, cuisines and landscapes. She hopes to contribute to Tushinde's mission to reach children and families who are often overlooked, supporting them to thrive and not merely survive. Welcome Olivia!

Abigael

Abigael is a development and humanitarian professional with over 5 years experience in the field, both in Kenya and the UK. She has programmatic experience with Consortium for Street Children and Viva, together for children in the UK, as well as volunteering with VSO and Balloon Ventures within marginalised communities in Kenya. Originally from Kenya, Abigael has firsthand experience of the challenges that children from marginalised communities in the country face and was drawn to Tushinde's holistic approach to addressing such needs. Welcome Abigael!
